From November 11 – November 24, 2024, the Asia-Pacific, Americas and Europe RMRs kicked off, with 56 teams from around the world gathering in Shanghai, China to compete for 24 tickets to the Shanghai Major!

-The tournament will be double elimination
-The first round of matches will be BO1, and the rest of the matches will be BO3.
-The top 3 teams will advance to the Shanghai Major, the bottom 5 teams will be out of the tournament.
Today’s matches
LVG eliminates AE 2-1, AE goes out with two losses

The MongolZ turned back DRILLAS 2-1 to become the first team to advance to the 2024 Shanghai Major!

The final day of the Asia-Pacific RMR will take place tomorrow at 12:00, with 3 BO3 matches and only 1 winner advancing to the Shanghai Major, so let’s cheer for China’s LVG and see if they can make it!

Tournament System
-The tournament is organized in Swiss rounds
-BO3 for matches involving advancement or elimination, and BO1 for the rest of the matches.
-Round 3 to 5 matchups will be determined by the Buchholz system.
-The top 7 teams advance to the Shanghai Major, the bottom 9 teams are eliminated.
Round 1
Liquid 12-16 Wildcard
Inferno started 5-1 for Liquid, with JKS and Ultimate leading the way as Liquid scored 9 points in the half. After the change of sides, Liquid took the first point but Wildcard took 4 points in a row to send the game into overtime. In overtime, Wildcard scored 4 points in a row to complete the reversal.
Legacy 19-17 FURIA
The Brazilian Civil War was a double overtime battle, with Legacy grabbing the lead in the opening frame on a strong start flip, but FURIA counter-cleared on banana lane for a perfect group kill and took a 7-5 lead after a four-kill run in the chelo pit. Legacy rebounded in the second half with a Pistol Game victory and approached match point, but FURIA turned the tide with a Pistol Rush B flip, and the score dragged into the second overtime before Legacy caught fire with the offense winning all of its games to take a two-point victory at the limit.
COL 13-7 BESITA
Both teams started the game by flipping each other over, but after COL started the lance, they relied on EliGE and Grim’s excellent defense to defend 7 points in a row. After switching sides, Grim continued his violent output, and BESITA’s strong start only hastened his death.
paiN 13-5 Nouns
paiN relied on continuous unanswered questions from nqz and kauez to hold on to as many as nine points at halftime. After changing sides, paiN continued to control the game with another ECO flip, after which Nouns was no longer able to fight back and paiN easily ended the game.
BOSS 13-7 M80
BOSS played an 8-1 defense after losing the pistol game with all players taking turns. After switching sides, M80 was still in a slump, and with freshie’s excellent play, BOSS quickly ended the game.
9z 13-7 RED Canids
9z got off to a hot start, easily pulling within 6-2, but back-to-back plays from dav1deuS kept the score at 6-6 at halftime. however, after the change of sides, 9z turned up the heat on their defense, and the RED Canids only scored one point before losing the game in a heartbreaking fashion.
Imperial 13-5 Case
Imperial started the game with all hands on deck as the score was quickly stretched to 6-1 and eventually held on for 8 runs in the half. After the change of sides Imperial went on to take the Pistol Game and gave Case no chance of a comeback, taking their first win with ease.
MIBR 13-5 KRU
MIBR was able to crush the CT side with their individual abilities, scoring a lot of points in the numerical disadvantage stalemate, and holding 11 points in the half time. After the change of sides, KRU managed to recover a few points, but MIBR ended the game easily with a half up turnover.
2nd round
9z defeated Legacy 13-3.

COL 16-12 BOSS
COL welcomes BOSS in the 1-0 division. In the opening game, floppy’s hand was not good enough to give away the long game, but Grim Chicken’s B-zone kept resisting the attacking pressure. After the change of sides, BOSS’s B-zone defense was not to be underestimated, and a key 3V5 turnover became the turning point. BOSS was not willing to lose, and once dragged the game into overtime, but unfortunately COL, who was still on the line, ended the game with a 4-0.
M80 16-13 Red Canids
In the 0-1 bracket, venomzera gave M80 a head start with five kills in the opening set, and the latter didn’t get enough offense in the first half. The Cold Warriors continued to lead the way with three match points in hand, but Lake’s kills sent the match into overtime, where M80 came back to win 16-13.
MIBR 13-9 Imperial
In the Brazilian Civil War in Group 1-0, Imperial kept the score close in the first half until the second half when exit finished a great 1V3 stalemate and saffee big snipers started to operate along with their teammates, so Imperial was unable to fight any more, and MIBR advanced to Group 2-0 with 13-9.
Wildcard 13-10 paiN
The two sides each had two big brothers on the nuke, but the game was won or lost on both sides of the short board. paiN’s biguzera and kauez both had single-digit kills, and wildcard got 8 points on the defensive side of the net to pick up the win.
FURIA defeats Case 13-5
The game was a one-sided one for Furia, the defense first Furia played 5-0 to start the game, and in the first half, with their excellent shooting skills, they even made a score difference of 8-1, Case was like a lamb waiting to be slaughtered, and after the change of sides, Furia scored 5 points in a row to finish the game and advance to the next round.
Liquid 13-2 KRU
Liquid faced the challenge of KRU in the 0-1 bracket.
