Aurora will keep the door open for deko to return from the inactive roster.

deko has put a pause on his playing career
Aurora has announced that AWPer Denis “deko” Zhukov has been moved to the inactive roster as the 23-year-old has decided to take a pause from competition.
The news comes less than a week after the Russian team’s elimination from the Perfect World Shanghai Major RMR, where they went 1-3 with a victory against B8 and losses to Eternal Fire, Spirit, and 9 Pandas.
The AWPer has been on Aurora’s books since November 2023, when he was signed from 1WIN alongside former coach Dmitry “hooch” Bogdanov.
In his year with Aurora, deko averaged a 1.15 rating and helped the team to victories at Skyesports Grand Slam and Skyesports Masters, as well as a second-place at ESL Challenger Melbourne and third at MESA Nomadic Masters Spring.
“Denis will live on as a legend of Aurora – we incredibly appreciate the year he has spent with us, despite all the challenges we had to face,” Aurora’s statement reads.
“We’ve been discussing on how to come to the common denominator. Taking into account Denis’s wishes and how he sees his future, we mutually decided to freeze the contract. Denis will be able to return to the professional stage at any time, and we will be happy to facilitate this.
“What’s now? Denis remains as a representative of our organization. It is important to note: we do not prevent deko from playing in any media-tournaments. We will follow him and celebrate his successes as our own.”
Aurora is now:
Timur “clax” Sabirov
Viktor “Lack1” Boldyrev
Aleksandr “KENSI” Gurkin
Evgeny “Norwi” Ermolin
Stepan “brain” Sivoronov (coach)
Denis “deko” Zhukov (inactive)
