MOUZ are now staring down an early exit from Shanghai after close losses to FaZe and The Mongolz.

FaZe and G2 have prevailed in their 1-1 matches in the Perfect World Shanghai Major Elimination stage, putting them each one series from the playoffs after scoring wins over MOUZ and 3DMAX, respectively.
The two international sides endured tough losses on the first day of play that blemished their records in Shanghai, with G2 stumbling in their opener to a red-hot The MongolZ, while FaZe faltered in their 1-0 match against HEROIC.
MOUZ scored an easy opening win over paiN to kick off their Major campaign, but the young side likewise struggled against The MongolZ, losing out to the Asian squad in overtime. This loss to FaZe now puts Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek’s men just one best-of-three series away from elimination in Shanghai.
FaZe got off to a hot start in their best-of-one bout with MOUZ, taking an 8-4 lead on the offense thanks to solid output from Robin “ropz” Kool and Finn “karrigan” Andersen.
MOUZ started to warm up back into the map on their own T-side, with a 1v3 from Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás putting FaZe in a dangerous position with the scoreline all tied up. In the end, Håvard “rain” Nygaard managed to find crucial impact in the later rounds of the second half after an abnormally quiet first half, helping his team clinch the map 13-10.

G2 looked in control in gun rounds during the first half of their battle with 3DMAX, but two fumbled 5v3 rounds led to them entering the second half on the back foot with a 5-7 deficit.
G2’s woes vanished on the offense, however, as the international side found success with repeated A site hits and key clutches from AWPer Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov and captain Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski, allowing them to lock down their Ancient best-of-one 13-8.
