MIBR stun NAVI; G2 bounce back against BIG

MIBR are now in the 2-0 pool of the Perfect World Shanghai Major alongside The MongolZ and Vitality, while BIG joins GamerLegion and Wildcard in the 0-2 group.

The 1-1 pool is already stacked, as G2 and Natus Vincere have joined MOUZ, FURIA, Spirit, and Liquid.

Felipe “⁠insani⁠” Yuji was front and center in MIBR’s early 9-0 lead on Inferno. He ended the first half with 19 kills in what seemed at the time as an unsurmountable lead for the Brazilians.

Natus Vincere won the final three on the defense and then after an ace by Mihai “⁠iM⁠” Ivan in the pistol round started to mount a serious comeback, but they were stopped by none other than insani himself, who clutched a 1vs2 to win it for his team, 13-11.

Over on the B stream, G2 made quick work of BIG on Mirage to bounce back after an opening loss to The MongolZ. Ilya “⁠m0NESY⁠” Osipov led the way with 21 kills and 121 ADR in his team’s 13-5 victory.

BIG won both pistol rounds, but got a drubbing the second G2 could get their hands on rifles on either side.
