Perfect World Shanghai Major Elimination Stage opening round set

The top-seeded G2 will face The MongolZ in the opening round.

The Perfect World Shanghai Major’s Elimination Stage opening round match-ups are set following the conclusion of the Opening Stage.

The top eight teams were seeded by their pre-event ranking, while the rest were seeded based on their qualification in the Opening Stage.

The top seed from the RMR will face the top seed from the Opening Stage, so G2 will face The MongolZ. The two second seeds will face each other, and the two thirds, and so on.

Like in the Major’s Opening Stage, the Elimination Stage will start with best-of-ones in the opening round, as well as in the 1-0, 0-1, and 1-1 pools. Best-of-threes will then take over in elimination, progression, and decider matches. The top eight teams progress to the playoffs, and the bottom eight go home.
